Sr. No. Topic Description
1 Problem analysis and complexity

I worked on solving technical issues which did not have any particular solution for the projects which I undertook during my bachelor degree in the computer application. I identified the requirements and applied in-depth computing along with the significant understanding obtained from various subjects studied [1].

For example, in the bachelor degree level program, I was assigned a problem of computer slow operation which was needed to be solved using computing application knowledge. I worked on the Microsoft System Configuration which was the tool for tackling slow performance as there were many applications which automatically launched when the machine was booting up, which ultimately slowing down the performance of the system. For solving this issue, I opened the tool by pressing Window key + R and then typed msconfiq and pressed Enter key, which resulted in solving the issue by closing unnecessary applications.

2 Depth of coverage

I applied the creative utilization of the computing knowledge along with the domain principles in numerous ways. It allowed me to learnt extensive skills in the computing applications and I even applied the principles-based technique to solve the problem [1].

I learnt the computers nature and code and obtained the understanding of the principles required to solve various problems associated with the computers. In my bachelor and master degree, I got significant learning of bit, bytes, megabytes and program writing and operation. I even learnt digital system images working and analysed big ideas which included logic, bugs and abstraction. One of my Professor also assisted in understanding the working of the structured data which included IP address, Ethernet, routing and Wi-Fi.

3 Structured education I studied the data modeling and implementation of the indirect ETL Data-Loading Using Dynamic List Files that were generated by shell scripts. I learnt to prepare the parameter files dynamically using UNIX scripts to provide values for ETL sessions. I learnt to create complex Shell Scripts for filename validation & FTP of files from over 80 different locations.
I conducted extensive encryption using Custom Oracle Packages on the data to protect sensitive HR information. I studied the development of the mappings, sessions & scheduled workflows and implemented SCD-1 for change capture in the data. I created the BObj Universe for the HRDW. I learnt to make detailed summary BObj reports creation including drills & hyperlinks [1], [2].
4 Knowledge for Solving Computing Problems

I learnt extensive skills of solving the computing problems during my bachelor [1] and master [2] degrees in Computing Applications. I prepared a list of 10 points which must be kept in mind while solving the computing related problems and I illustrated these points underneath:

  1. Read the problem at least three times.
  2. Work through the problem manually with at least three sets of sample data.
  3. Simplifying and optimizing the steps.
  4. Write Pseudo code.
  5. Translate pseudo code into code and debug.
  6. Simplify and optimize your code.
  7. Debug
  8. Write useful comments.
  9. Get feedback through code reviews.
  10. Test and complete.
5 Modern Tool Usage I learnt to create, select and adapted latest tools in the computing applications. Few of them were studied in the bachelor [1] and master degrees [2], whereas, most of them I learnt in my 10 years of enriching experience in the industry. These modern tool utilization is very much necessary in solving recent day issues as the problems are also strong enough to solve and it can only be solved with the implementation of the modern tool usage. Furthermore, I applied critical thinking in the tools selection process followed with the resources and techniques for solving the issues.
6 Individual and team work

I always worked in a team effectively and even managed the team at various stages of the projects which I did in my bachelor [1], master [2] and even in my professional job experiences. I groomed myself with the team work concepts and it helped me in the management and analysis of individual team member strength and weakness to whom I was associated while working on several projects as System Analyst. I was backed well with my attitude towards the members of the team and it resulted in forming the group functions which were an essential component for me in numerous project executions.

7 Communication

My skills in communication is an important skill which I got after several years of working in the companies and managing various employees. I always implemented the AGILE methodology for the successful project execution and this was backed well with the communication dynamic strategy of dealing with the day to day activities.

I always utilized the everyday scrum calls with the team which gave me updates regarding their roles and their individual work statuses in the project. They also kept me aware with the bottle necks which they were facing while working on the project.

I worked on the user writing documents and prepared user manuals which was the key action role in the project successful execution. I followed all the associated activities and implemented the interpersonal communication skills for obtaining the necessary information from the team. This boosted my communication skills in an appropriate manner and I worked and discussed on daily basis regarding the technical jargons with the team.

I implemented the appropriate organizational communication with the employees and with those who were the most major stakeholders in the organization. I worked on building relationship as this was an important aspect in the communication sector role in an organization.

8 Computing professionalism and society

My significant years of experience as Computing Professional Consultant and as System Analyst made me technically sound to understand various IT governance related practices. I gained this experience while working with various organizations and learnt something new in all the organizations from where I was associated throughout my career so far. My knowledge in the domain of computing assisted me enough in achieving this level of technical milestones which would surely assist me in my future projects as computing professional and system analyst.

9 Ethics

All the projects which I undertook were based on the team which was the essential part in making the project success. I worked with the team and often managed my juniors to accomplish the project objectives. Throughout my career, I worked on several projects and all were success because of the team work and the coordination that I had with my team to run and execute the project smoothly. For better project implementation, I synchronized with all the team members and it resulted in meeting the project requirements. Because of the role which I played both working as team member and leader, my projects different objectives were always meet successfully. Not only this, there were various scenarios which need to be handled carefully while working on sensitive projects. Like on one project, there was the need to login the portal urgently and I was the only person who got the password. I got to know that this might result in damaging the sensitive information. On the other side, everybody expects that I will tell them passwords or at least help to crack something so denying them tactfully, sometime straight forward denial, sometimes educating them about the ICT ethics was a part of my job.

Also, I tried to educate about software copy rights and use of licensed software in the organization. In the country like India, we don’t have awareness of software licensing and very few people follow this unfortunately. I made my senior management aware of the consequences and worked up with some vendors and submitted the recommendations in front of them.

10 Life-long learning

As a computing professional, I recognized the requirement and got significant abilities throughout my professional career which can be used in engaging myself towards the independent life-long learning for continuous professional development.
